What is the difference between weft knitted fabric and warp knitted fabric
Compared with weft knitted fabrics, warp knitted fabrics generally have less extensibility. Most weft knitted fabrics have significant lateral extensibility. The extensibility of warp knitted fabric is related to the number of comb and the structure. Some warp knitted fabrics have extensibility both horizontally and longitudinally, but some fabrics have good dimensional stability. Warp-knitted fabrics can use different weaves to reduce the coil shedding defects caused by broken yarn and holes like weft knitted fabrics. In addition, since warp knitted fabrics can use different yarns of different thickness, carry out different weft knitting, form different forms of mesh structure and simple pattern transformation, almost all fabric structures can be woven. However, on the other hand, it is difficult for warp knitting to obtain shaped products like some weft knitted fabrics. Generally, it must go through auxiliary processes such as cutting and sewing, and in order to weave smoothly, it also needs to carry out warping.
Warp knitted fabric has certain elongation and tensile properties, although its value is lower than that of weft knitted fabric. The factors affecting the tensile properties of fabrics include: fabric structure (such as single-bar, double-bar warp knitted fabric, Raschel warp knitted fabric); Tightness of the fabric (the tighter the fabric, the lower its tensile property); Finishing process (can give the fabric good dimensional stability); Machine number (i.e. the number of stitches per unit width); Type of yarn (such as elastic core-spun yarn, fancy yarn with low or poor elasticity, single yarn or ply yarn with good dimensional stability)
Vat dyes vat dyes are insoluble in water and cannot be dyed directly. It is necessary to reduce it to a cryptochrome in the alkaline strong reducing solution of caustic soda and sodium hydrosulfite. The cotton fiber is dyed by the cryptochrome, and then oxidized to revert to an insoluble dye and fixed on the fiber. Vat dyes have complete chromatograms, bright colors, and good color fastness to sunlight and soaping. However, due to the high price, some yellow and orange varieties have photosensitive brittleness, so their application is limited. When dyeing or printing, the post-soaping treatment should be strengthened to remove the floating color and improve the brightness
